A naturally charismatic man who is respected and feared by many. He’s a major romantic that instinctively pampers the one he loves, but only after they’ve gained his trust.
Gameplay is a leisure point and click type of deal where your answers raise certain stats for the character and towards the partner you’re planning to romance. Not a difficult engagement type of play through, so if you’re wanting to enjoy a casual game experience with BL interests, this would definitely be up your alley.
Depending on the player’s choices, you can raise or drop the following:
Some choices will raise more points for one stat over another (i.e. one option may have +3 Affection and +1 Lust and vice versa for another choice). Certain scenes will only unlock if the player has accumulated enough points, so be sure to choose wisely or replay for more variety!
GRAY’S FIRST IMPRESSIONS
WeeLLlllLLLl… That got off to a great start, and no pun intended there LMAO. The first sequence of the game opens up to an openly explicit scene of our sassy hero, conducting the honey trap tactics. I ended up laughing out loud because it took me by surprise, albeit that certainly got my attention as to what I’m about to get into in this game. While there wasn’t a showing of the sprites just yet, I do like the graphics in the game so far, but I do think the really bright yellow color for that curtain thingy for the bed could be smoothed out a bit better.
Nonetheless… Carry on LMAO
Meeting our ‘Queen’ aka Honey Trap Protagonist, I’m impressed by his quick means of trying to get his job done. He isn’t one to come out empty handed on a mission, so he makes sure he gets his own needs taken cared of even while on the job. I do find it interesting about the concept that he has a bodyguard or a retainer of sorts watching over him. Since there isn’t much really known about even the head honcho of KIKYO, and what exactly she truly does behind the scenes.
In this case, what we do know is Kazuto is the Honey Trap agent, Jay is somewhat of a handler/bodyguard/partner for him. They try to extract information on certain individuals of the underworld, and sell that information to another party. We have to take into consideration that this universe is placed in the underbelly of the crime/mobster/yakuza world.
Okay, so the relationship between Jay and Kazuto is interesting, as while they are partners, they aren’t in any form something as ‘lovers’ or ‘fuck buddies’ in the beginning of the game. It does seem though that Kazuto harbors feelings for Jay and makes it known that he wants to take his partner to be bed. However, Jay is the calm and more intellectual type from what I’ve noticed, and he is a tease, knowing where and when to pull the strings against Kazuto.
I feel that the two have a cat and mouse, or dangling the carrot in front of the rabbit type of relationship at this time. I do believe Jay holds feelings for Kaz, but he prefers to nuture the strong bond they have and make it clear to Kazuto that he isn’t someone who likes to have flings.
Now then, when we meet the new target, known as “Lucas” at this time… I can’t say I’m certain about this seemingly chivalrous man that we are assigned to extract info from. Yes, his character details make him look scary, but his total personality is a stark difference to his gruff appearance. The conversation between the two was already taken to the beat of soft flirtation and seduction, which I’m a little put off by… I was hoping for some pull back considering this is a crime lord sort of guy.
Or maybe, he’s purposely drawing us in to make us believe he’s a good guy…?
After completing the demo, I won’t lie, I am intrigued by the universe that has been created by the developer. There’s a profound curiosity for Jay and Kazuto, sadly–I wasn’t completely captured by Lucas, I felt that his character wasn’t strong enough to leave an impression on me. While I do know this is a demo, don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the storytelling thus far, and I have high hopes for the full release of the game to change my opinions.
Considering I do want to romance Jay, find out what the heck is going on with our leader of KIKYO, and also figure out the past life of our main character as well.
