Being stranded on an island with five sexy strangers sure sounds good on paper… but not at the cost of your dream job and all of the amenities of modern life! You’re trying to focus on survival, but things start to get heated… are these feelings real, or is it the island sun getting to you?! (Lovestruck Fandom Wiki)
Hey guys, Gray here, and before I get into this review, I wanted to bring something to everyone’s attention about the Lovestruck Team from Voltage USA. This message reached me on Tumblr, and I want to help spread the word and support them, as I believe in this gifted storytelling team of creative writers. Please read their PSA below:
Hi everyone! We are the Voltage Organized Workers!
The writers of Lovestruck have come together to unanimously demand better working conditions, greater transparency, and increased protections. To that end, we asked the management of Voltage USA to recognize us and meet our demands – and since management has refused, we will be going on strike.
All of the Lovestruck writers are members of marginalized genders and/or sexualities. We have been given an invaluable foot in the door to the industry and a platform to tell stories that represent our voices, our passion, and our experiences. We are also all fans of the app, and we care deeply about the stories we tell.
However, not only are we paid less than half the industry standard rate, we are asked to meet extremely tight deadlines and produce enormous amounts of content without protections or benefits.
We want to see our hard work and commitment to authentic storytelling given the value it deserves.
Want to help us? Well first off–thanks!
The best thing you can do is send messages to Lovestruck contact asking them to recognize us.
All our fans are important to us. You’re the people supporting us, and we hope that you will help us improve our situation. We know that you have your own concerns, and we’re confident that this move will help to address those as well.
While our strike won’t immediately affect content in the app, it will certainly delay stories that you’re eager to see. There is a contact field on the Voltage website, and the more they hear from fans, the more likely they are to want to talk to us.
Above all, please do NOT boycott the game. We’re counting on you still being there and reading the stories you love.
Please also do not send anyone any harassment, on our behalf or otherwise. We do not condone such behavior. Keep your messages respectful. At the end of the day, the people you’re messaging are still our coworkers, and we want to get back to work as quickly as possible.
Message us with questions here or on any of the social media accounts listed below!
(Just bear in mind that there are some questions we can’t answer without breaking our NDAs.)
We’re hoping to have good news for you within a few days, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated of any developments.

THE MAIN HEROINE
MC is a journalist doing a story on a new cruise ship. When a storm hits the crew gets shipwrecked on a magical island with few inhabitants. Like the others, MC has trouble adjusting at first, but she soon learns her way around the island. It is implied on Serena Zhang’s route that the MC is Native Hawaiian.
THE CASTAWAYS LOVE INTERESTS
TK is the arrogant but easy to tease photographer you’re paired up with for your article. He runs hot pretty easily, and you both tend to banter off one another throughout the game. Howeverm even if it seems like you both are arguing to others, the debates you have are more of a game–and actually fun when you think about it. When you both are shipwrecked on the island, TK starts to invoke his inner Lara Croft/Indiana Jones, sparking your curiousity–Just what does TK know about this island?
Arthur is a mysterious and a great cook, he comes off as polite and seems like an upstanding gentleman. However, as the game progresses, he seems to be hiding some kind of agenda from everyone, including his knowledge about the island you shipwrecked on. He may have a cute face, but consider what he says towards you at face value, be cautious, young player, as this millionaire is harboring secrets that might make or break your relationship.
Logan is the flirty engineer who you can’t take seriously because he reminds you of the stereotypical surfer dudes from the 80s B-Flicks. While he doesn’t say, “tubular” or anything close to it, he does give off that kind of vibe, however, he’s very passionate about his work. When you get stranded on the island, he’s either all over you or deeply engrossed in his work. He’s a strange one, should we get closer to finding out who Logan really is?
Hot headed and a little intimidating, Joaquin is the type of guy to stop at nothing to get what he wants… and what he wants is you.
He’s a sexy badboy who’s not afraid to go for what he wants, making his moves on you right away. You feel an immediate attraction, but the others warn you to stay away… Will you decide to pursue this potentially dangerous man? (Fandom Wiki)
Serena is the calm, collected, and cool ship doctor of the crew, and she can sometimes be a little uptight. However, this young doctor isn’t some pushover and she is definitely a force to be reckoned with that even Clyde won’t mess with her. When we first meet her, she’s doesn’t want to get close to anyone, but there’s a past pain she hides from the crew… Will you uncover what is holding Serena back from moving forward?
Captain, My Captain… Hello Clyde Hughes–YUM~ Ahem… Okay, Clyde is retired military and is the manly captain of the ship that you were on before it got shipwrecked. He is charming, overly protective, but he seems pretty bad with handling emotional situations. However, you can’t help but feel like the man can put you under some kind of spell whenever he smiles at you.
SHIPWRECKED WITH SERENA ZHANG
When we first meet the aloof ship doctor, it’s at the celebratory party that is being held on the cruise we are adventuring on. She isn’t one to make plenty of conversation with and usually keeps to herself. This is what sparked my curiosity about her, I’m not a loud or outspoken person with groups of people unless they’re my close friends or family. Serena’s personality gave off a soothing vibe that was attractive, and thus, both the MC and I wanted to get closer.
Keep in mind though, we do get shipwrecked after the luxurious party ended in a violent torrential storm of sorts off the coast of a weird island. When we wake up, we find ourselves being examined by Serena, and she fills us in on what has occurred. It’s from here that both of you venture deep into the jungles of the island and find the others, however, once reuniting with everyone. Disaster strikes as the floor from beneath your feet gives way, Serena reaches out to you but both of you fall into the darkness below the ruins.
Whilst awaiting our team from above to help us out, Serena tends to an injury we sustain from the fall, causing our MC to get flushed with how close they come together. However, Serena remains controlled and composed in front of us, and thus our small moment of intimacy finishes with the crew from above dropping down a rope for us to climb. I would say because of this slight injury, this is what starts our journey to getting closer with Serena, as the doctor needs to make daily check-ups on us (wink wink).
Serena isn’t the type to hold back when she has something to say, she’s nothing but blunt when it’s something that is troubling. She is a caring individual and she is passionate at her work as a doctor, Serena takes great pride in what she does even if she has to be tough on you. However, that collected exterior of hers is also a mask for her to keep people at a distance from her heart, as you find out about something that happened in the past when she worked in a hospital.
After she confides to you about the event that happened in her past when she worked physically in the hospital, Serena starts to open up little by little. Cracking a joke here and there, with her giving you a dose of some simple teasing. Your relationship with her is a languid and organic type bonding, as you both must trust each other and lay your hearts bare to survive on the island. Especially when the crew members suddenly want to wrestle crocodiles!
FALLING IN LOVE WITH SERENA
Serena isn’t someone you dive right into the bed or start this crazy whirlwind romance with, falling in love with her is about building trust and commitment towards each other. Like any relationship from friends, family, and lovers, building that integrity of trust between each other is a big thing for her. I adore that, as it’s not something usually seen in otome games, or at least, not used as often and created in a slow-burn fashion.
When this beautiful goddess of a doctor falls in love, she falls in deep, and she makes sure you know it. With gentle teasing and seductive touches here and there against your skin, Serena makes it clear that she wants your attention on her when behind closed doors and also in the public eye. I love Serena and her way of showing her love for the heroine, I’m just filled with feels right now–I need a moment. If you’re looking for an LGBTQ+ romance, with a cool personality type character who will tend to your body with respect and love. Look no further than Serena Zhang.
